The Best Time to Shine

The Bible says "ARISE, Shine: for thy light is come and the GLORY of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall rise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee" (Isaiah 60:1)

Light is at it's fullest glory when it shines in darkness. Often people complain about how dark the days are and how evil the people have become. This is true! But this is also the best time for the church to shine, and declare the truth of the gospel. Jesus said we are the light of the world. The problem is the church has turned from the bible and the God of the bible and has embraced other things. The church has embraced philosphy, prosperity, other religions and their gods, have made gods out of men and hence has become just a gathering of people, a social club coming to church to be entertained. No moral livestyle, no conviction, no desire to change or seek the LORD.

Light bulbs that illuminate do not do so by themselves. They must be connected to the power source. Then and then only will thy shine. As people of the true and living God we must reconnect with the power of the bible and the Holy Spirit of our God. Many people love the darkness but someone will see the light and follow. The church must reconnect to the power and shine in this dark world. We must reconnect because this is the best time to shine!!!
