Herein is the difference between religion and relationship. The Bible says, "If we repent of our sin he is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness" When there is a personal relationship with Him, if we sin, we repent. Not because we got caught, because sometimes you do things that you may never get caught doing. But I repent because my sin has offended my LORD. Although know one else saw, HE saw. He does not want an explanation, but repentance. When David committed adultery with Bathsheba, he didn't try to give God an explanation as to what. why, how. Read Psalms 51 and you see the repentance of King David. He didn't blame anybody else for his sin. He never mentions Bathsheba, or Nathan the prophet that exposed him. Religion condemns, but God forgives. IF WE REPENT!!! "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth them and forsaketh them shall have mercy" (Proverbs 28:13)
